Artificial Intelligence
I bring a holistic, balanced outlook on AI, grounded in research and broad study. My aim is to make sense of both the opportunities and the uncertainties, and to help others approach AI with clarity rather than hype. I offer consulting in AI strategy, implementation, and policy.
Reliability Engineering
Since 2013, I’ve worked across government, startups, and eight years as a Site Reliability Engineer at Google. I’ve developed a strong foundation in the principles of reliability engineering—SLOs with Error budgets, incident management and disaster recovery testing. I’ve worked with industry-leading open-source tools and major cloud providers, and I've helped teams align on goals, build a shared language, and keep sight of the big picture.
Sound Reproduction & Psychoacoustics
Outside of my professional work, I’ve spent many years studying and practicing sound reproduction and psychoacoustics. My approach is grounded in science, aiming to create listening experiences that feel both accurate and natural.
